Wisconsin State Women’s Championship Kicks Off in the Madison Area

The Wisconsin State USBC Women’s Championship officially got underway last Friday in the Madison area, welcoming competitors from across the state for one of the season’s premier events.

The tournament opened at Dream Lanes, which is hosting the team event, while Bowl-A-Vard Lanes will serve as the home for the minor events throughout the championship. With two strong venues and a central location, the Madison area is set to provide an outstanding tournament experience for all participants.

Opening ceremonies were highlighted by the traditional “Jane Bowler” honor, recognizing a bowler who represents the spirit of the women’s game in Wisconsin. This year’s Jane Bowler was Rosie Lunde, who had the honor of rolling the first ball to officially kick off the championship. The ceremony also included welcoming remarks from representatives of both the local and Wisconsin State USBC associations, setting the tone for a competitive and memorable event.

The Wisconsin State Women’s Championship will run through April 26, and there are still limited spots available for teams and individuals looking to compete.

The Wisconsin State USBC would like to thank Dream Lanes, Bowl-A-Vard Lanes, tournament staff, and volunteers for helping launch another successful Women’s Championship. We look forward to seeing great bowling and celebrating the women who make this event special throughout the remainder of the tournament.
